What Men Want

"What do men want" is a question that is cussed and discussed at great length when a group of two or more young females gather and sometimes even when older females gather. One would think, by listening, to these conversations that men are a newly discovered species and not just the male half of the human race.

Men want the exact same things that women really want. Their list of wants is just in a different order. Oh, the lists start out the same but then there are certain basic changes in the priorities of each sex.

Women want:	Men want:
An attractive man	An attractive woman
Fun and companionship	Fun and companionship
Romance	Sex
Support and respect	Food
To be listened to	Support and Respect
Food	To be listened to
Sex	Romance

So the problem isn't so much that human beings of the opposite sex want different things, they just have different lists of priorities.

After the flirting has been accomplished and a tentative relationship has started, the order of the lists of priorities of men and women begin to deviate.

In a man's opinion fun and companionship automatically extends to a sexual relationship. The thinking is, "I like you. You like me. We are both adults. What's the problem?"

Women, of course, don't think that sex is a natural extension of fun and companionship and that is where the lack of understanding begins between men and women and what causes women to ask each other, "What do men want?" And it is what causes men to scratch their heads and try to figure out what it is that a woman wants.

The devil is always in the details of any relationship between men and women. It is a very wise woman who can understand that a man's order of priorities are simply different from the order of her own list and sufficiently control the situation well enough to impose her own order of priorities into the relationship.

A woman can with a little planning, skip the number three priority (sex) and move onto the number four priority (food). She can cook a meal for him (with others present). Provide support and respect (number 5) and listen to what he says (number 6) and there she is at his number 7 priority, romance, which is where she is on her list of priorities.

You can pretty much let nature take its course at this point. In order to achieve the priority that has been skipped in the process, the man will just naturally provide the romance, support and respect and listen to you and sex will be a natural and mutually agreeable act that both of you are ready to engage in.

It is true that men and women are different...it would be a rather boring world if that weren't true. The battle of the sexes has raged since the beginning of time and it isn't very likely that a truce will ever be declared. We need each other and the battle keeps life interesting and unexpected.
